Gamer sends entire life savings of bottle caps to pre-order Fallout 4

How many bottle caps is a Fallout 4 pre-order worth?

While most of us here at Shacknews have mixed feelings regarding video game pre-orders, one gamer hoping to reserve a copy of Fallout 4 may be on to something.

Imgur user GatorMacheteJr sent his entire life savings of 11.2 pounds of bottle caps to Bethesda in hopes of pre-ordering the latest entry in the Fallout franchise.

“Fallout 3 was my favorite game for several years, so I made the rational choice to start saving up bottle caps. Turns out 4.5 years of undergrad and 3 years in a Master’s program leads to a lot of drinking,” the bottle cap hoarder said on Imgur.  “I’m hoping if this post gets popular enough, their PR department will be too nervous to turn me down.”

The real question is how much does 2,240 bottle caps equate to in pre-war currency when not a single cap is from a thirst quenching Nuka Cola?

They should give him the Pip-Boy Edition and say that its only a one time deal to prevent this from happening again.

Haha, the postage to get this to Bethesda was probably worth as much as a pre-order itself. :)

I'm a little impressed by his diligence to save that many bottle caps. But, I suspect he probably had some people save theirs and give them to him too.

All you would really need to do is hit up some bar with a "bottle cap alley" (like next to the Dixie Chicken in College Station, TX) and scoop a bunch of them up.

Come to think of it if an Aggie is reading this maybe give that a shot.

Hahaha, that's fantastic. He deserves a copy just for that. :)
