E3 2015: Dark Souls 3 announced for spring 2016 release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC

A new title by From Software was announced during today's Xbox E3 Press Conference.

From Softwares jaw-clenching, white knuckle difficulty game series, Dark Souls, has announced a new sequel to the growing series. Set to release in Spring of 2016, the game has been announced for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Dark Souls 3 is the latest chapter in the Dark Souls series that will feature its trademark sword and sworcery combat and rewarding action-RPG gameplay. Players will travel across a wide variety of locations within an interconnected world as they search for a way to survive the coming apocalypse.

“The Dark Souls series has built a revered reputation placing it in the highest echelon of revered video game properties of all time,” said Chris Gilbert, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. “We are very excited to see Hidetaka Miyazaki and his talented team at From Software working on Dark Souls 3.”
