E3 2015: Watch the PlayStation E3 2015 press conference here
Nathan Drake will undoubtedly be dropping in on this year's PlayStation E3 press conference, but he'll hardly be the only one. Sony's press conference begins at 6PM and will undoubtedly have some major bombshells to drop.
It's been a big day for major gaming announcements, but now the day is about ready to come to a close. And who better to wrap up than Sony?
This year's PlayStation press conference will undoubtedly be headlined by Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. But if Sony has taught anyone anything in the past, it's that there are always a load of surprises at the ready, so prepare to see at least one or two announcements that nobody saw coming.
The fun begins at 6PM PT/3PM ET, so watch along with us below and be sure to join the conversation in the official thread.

the Giantbomb guys are making a convincing point that Sony's press conference was light on stuff coming out this year. there was nothing shown that would sell me on a PS4 in 2015.
2016 looks great, but the past 2 E3s have felt that way, "oh next year will be awesome, we just need to get through this year to get to the good games" and they never come. -

It was loud in there!!

I was let down by this press conference. Here is why:
The oh shit announcements felt like they have come years too late(last guardian, ff7 remake, etc)
Of the new properties:
- Horizon looked potentially cool
- Dreams I highly appreciated it's artistic nature but would never buy
- here is battlefront, but we just showed that off earlier today at EA
- the rest was meh
Nothing of real substance on Morpheus, no questions answered. At least MS made a cool demo of Hololens that got me excited about a new technology even if what was shown did not directly interest me.
Everything else was the same old shit we've seen for years now:
- hey we got blah blah exclusive bonus content on this stale AAA game franchise
- Here's a batman game, and a cod game, another destiny expansion, another ass creed
- here's us talking about how huge the universe of No Man's Sky is, again, with maybe 30 seconds worth of shooting of things we haven't seen before and still no release date
- here's our corporate overlords talking about marketing deals and licensing for services I've yet to find useful on my console.
- here's vita, remember that?
So, yeah, they showed a lot, but not a lot of it got me excited. Best press conference so far still is Bethesda imho which was really super well done. -
You know what? I'm not even sad they didn't show more Persona 5 even though I'm stupid hyped for it. This is the best E3 ever anyway.
And, as incredible as the other huge surprises were, the one I'm most interested in seeing more of was Horizon. Holy mother of fuck that is how you do a new IP. Egrit from GoT (looks like her anyway) killing robot dinosaurs in the post-human ruins of future Earth presented in a stunningly beautiful engine? Where's my fucking pre-order button?!-

note how they listed the current partners as Showtime and a non-ESPN sports network? Showtime is essentially already available a la carte. Sony has no leverage here that would get them to make ESPN, Comedy Central, etc suddenly unbundle in a way that cable companies can't do or that Sling can't do. Unless of course it ends up being like $5-10 per channel (while Showtime/HBO/etc charge $15/mo like their current a la carte online offerings) in which case no one will care because that's insane pricing.
