A world full of Sims can get awfully cramped. With fans creating more than enough Sims to fill the neighborhoods that EA and Maxis have provided them, the time for expansion has come. That's why a new update for The Sims 4 will adding an entirely new area for the Sims to inhabit.

The World of Newcrest will include three new neighborhoods, each with five empty lots to play with. Players can either build these areas up from scratch or download facilities from The Sims 4 Gallery. EA is hopeful that players can take advantage of a greater variety of building types with this update, with lot sizes varying from 20x15 all the way to 50x40.

The World of Newcrest will hit The Sims 4 next Thursday, June 11 as a free update.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
