Knights of Pen & Paper 2 trailer continues its bickering

Paradox Interactive has released a new Knights of Pen & Paper 2 trailer, filled with adventure, whimsy, and a whole lot of in-fighting.

Paradox Interactive and Kyy Games turned RPGs on their head a couple of years ago with Knights of Pen & Paper +1 Edition. The pixel-art adventure had players control both the game's characters and the D&D-style Game Master. Now it's time for the follow-up, called Knights of Pen & Paper 2, and Paradox has uploaded the game's latest trailer.

Just as in the first game, Knights of Pen & Paper 2 sees players control the Game Master and a party filled with traditional (and a few non-traditional) RPG classes. In addition to upgrading its pixels to sprites, the game will feature new quests, dynamic dungeons, and new combat and loot mechanics. There's also plenty of arguing, just like in any pen and paper RPG.

Allow this trailer below to offer some further explanation. Knights of Pen & Paper 2 will hit PC, iOS, and Android on May 14.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

YES! Loved the original. Still have it on my phone. It'd be cool if they allow some kind of carry over bonus from the original; at least unlock some kind of bonus class so it wouldn't unbalance the game.

Paradox, eh? Maybe a Pillars nod in there too.

I need to go back and play through the added (expansion?) content. I keep forgetting about it.
