Broken Age comes to PlayStation 4 and Vita in full on April 28

The full Broken Age story has been given a release date on PlayStation 4 and Vita. So naturally, PC users should expect to see Episode 2 on that same day. Right?

Double Fine has revealed a release date for the PlayStation 4 and Vita versions of Broken Age, noting that they would arrive on both platforms on April 28. Considering that Tim Schafer had previously stated that the game would hit PlayStation platforms on the same day that Episode 2 hits PC, it feels safe to assume that the second half of Double Fine's story will indeed release on April 28, as well.

"The full Broken Age adventure is coming to PS4 and PS Vita on April 28th through a partnership with the PlayStation Third Party Production team and it features cross buy, cross save, and lots of pointy-clicky adventure gaming fun times," community manager James Spafford said on PlayStation.Blog, with emphasis our own. As mentioned, the PlayStation incarnation of Broken Age will include the aforementioned features and include both episodes.

Shacknews has reached out to Double Fine for confirmation on the Episode 2 release date, as well as an inquiry on when Kickstarter backers can expect to see the final half of the story.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
