Weekly Game Release Highlights, March 16-22

New release day falls on St. Patrick's Day this year, so grab any of the big releases and get ready for a day full of drinking. (Unless you want Mario Party 10. That's coming on Friday, so no St. Patty's Day Mario Party drinking games for you folks.)

It's St. Patrick's Day week and that means it's time to grab your beverage of choice and kick back with a few new games. That includes Battlefield Hardline, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, and the final part of Resident Evil Revelations 2. Ironically, the one game most suited to alcohol consumption, Mario Party 10, isn't set to release until this Friday, but it'll arrive just in time for a weekend bender. Or you could put the booze away and just enjoy it with the kids. There's something for just about everyone.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Cool. I look forward to seeing lots of bitching about Battlefield Hardline next week from the "never happy with anything" club.

Keep in mind that the demo code won't work until it's live.

Still trying to decide whether to jump first into the demo or type 0...not sure why that's such a difficult decision for me, but it is.

Holy crap, Echo Night on PS3!!!!! This is a From Software classic from the PSX days. It's also one of the coolest ghost story games ever made. Visually, it's old, but the story and gameplay still holds up very well. I'm thrilled more people can finally check out this rare and excellent game!!!!
