InXile Entertainment has announced an Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of Wasteland 2 will be released this summer.

The Xbox One and PS4 versions of Wasteland 2 will receive a number of enhancements and improvements, such as new voiceovers for key characters and moments within the game’s story. Wasteland 2 has been ported over to Unity 5, which will help provide upgraded visuals, improved character models, and upgraded environments.

Wasteland 2 Game of the Year Edition will also feature improvements to existing gameplay as well as adding some new features. For example, you’ll now be able to customize your squad even more so with a new Perks and Quirks feature, which adds unique bonuses and characteristics. A new Precision Strike system will allow players to target individual body parts to either cripple or stun enemies, or even shatter their armor to make your follow up attacks more devastating.

Wasteland 2 was named #10 in our 2014 Game of the Year countdown, and rightfully so as Steven really enjoyed his time with the game. Unfortunately for the rest of us, he took the game a little too seriously and has vowed to deliver more “wasteland justice” this year.
