The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D has been released today, so what better time for a new Iwata Asks than today?

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D has released along with the New Nintendo 3DS XL here in the US, and today, Satoru Iwata has relaunched his Iwata Asks interviews to discuss many aspects of both the classic game as well as the new 3DS version.

The latest edition of Iwata Asks highlights some interesting behind-the-scenes information regarding Majora’s Mask, such as the three-day time-rewind mechanic in the game originally being meant to last a full week, where the concept of the game originated from, and Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma revealing nightmares he had of the game while he was working on it.

The interview also discusses the difficulties of implementing a free camera with the New 3DS’ C-Stick as well as how Majora’s Mask boss fights were meant to feel different compared to Ocarina of Time.

There’s a ton of information fans of Majora’s Mask should read for themselves, although I’ll warn you this Iwata Asks is particularly long. On the other hand, it’s been quite some time since the last Iwata Asks, so I guess this one more than makes up for the segment’s absence.
