Heroes of the Storm is rolling on, with the most recent beta reaching new players by the day. Blizzard is teasing some new reveals for next week, including the reveal of a new Hero, new skins, and new compositions.

While there's no word on who exactly the new Hero will be, this Battle.net post is doing its best to hint at the classic Blizzard heroes, the Lost Vikings. The trio of Erik, Baleog, and Olaf have been mentioned as possible additions to the game since Blizzcon 2013 and it appears their time is finally coming.

What else indicates the imminent Lost Vikings arrival? Well, Blizzard issued this video below for upcoming skins. And yes, those are indeed the Lost Vikings on display. Look for full reveal on the Heroes of the Storm Twitch channel on Wednesday, February 11 at 11am PST. Credit to walker270 for the tip.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

sigh... I bought Murky with my last 10k because I figured he couldn't be as gimped as everyone was talking about. I was wrong. So very wrong. Gotta grind out another 10k quick for those Vikings!!!!

Murky needs a lot of map knowledge and awareness to be played well.

He also works better on collection maps like Haunted Mines or Garden of Terror.

I got so frustrated that I just couldn't do anything against another hero. His dmg and abilities are so focused on siege damage that other than be slightly annoying I found myself running from most battles after I threw in a my guppy and just waited for the cd to reset. Zerging against a hero just doesn't work. So, unless I'm missing a new tactic with his current build I may bench him until he gets some love.

At the least I'd say he needs some minion talents to just be the ultimate lane pusher.

            What was your build?

I haven't played Murky, but I've seen some effective Murky players. Mostly they avoided engaging and just focused on being as annoying as murlocy possible and sieged shit as much as they could.

Against other heroes they seemed to play him more like an assassin. Jump in, slime the shit out of everyone, attack a bit, then bubble and get out when targeted.

Ya that's pretty much what I did. Just kinda low direct contribution to the team battle, which I'm not used to. The game is stilted away from being a guy that's pushing strategic stuff like when to grab a camp since you don't get much xp from that and you don't direct get xp contribution when that camp wrecks the towers and fort, but was well timed and forced the other team to respond instead of focusing on a map objective.

I did this on a few play sessions, but it bugged me that it didn't translate on the stat screen that I really did contribute even though my xp score was like 5k below everyone else.

Ignore the stat screen. Just click the "Show Talents" button on the bottom and never look bad.

The stat screen promotes some terrible behavior.

My problem with Murky is that safe places to put your egg vanish as the game goes on - without the outer towers, you either have a long run after each death or you have to risk it on the map. And inevitably at least one person on their team knows the good hiding spots.

On the flip side, I've had teammates throw games we were solidly winning because they decided to dedicate themselves to hunting the murky egg.

You're supposed to risk it. If the fight is moving the odds are good that the other team isn't actively checking every spot for your egg. This is why that cloak talent is useful since it can help mask were you're spawning from.

And that's the only thing, but you have to survive to lvl 20 to get it.

Damn, if you can really play in 3 lanes with them, then it's really going to be challenging. I thought that they'd be like Chen's ultimate: 1 controllable unit consisting of 3 dudes running around as a group.

So it's Meepo without the actives? Or permanent Panda split?

Pretty cool but I suck at micro.
