Microsoft announced State of Decay will be infecting a new generation of console owners as State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition has been announced for the Xbox One.

State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition will include the base game along with both previously released expansion packs, Breakdown, Lifeline, and Danforth as well as playing as a military unit, Greyhound One, for $29.99. The title will run at 1080p and will offer new textures that adds an increased level of detail, changes to lighting, an increased draw distance, new animations for both humans and zombies, and an improved interface. Undead Labs also made it possible for characters within the Lifeline expansion to be playable in the Breakdown expansion.

Those who own State of Decay on Xbox 360 will be able to receive a 33% discount on the Year-One Survival Edition as well as a new exclusive character, Gurubani, who is described as a sword-wielding Indian-American badass.

I enjoyed State of Decay when it released on the Xbox 360, although I never got around to completing it. With that said, I'm certainly looking forward to the improved visuals and draw distance in the Xbox One version when it releases on April 28.
