In an effort to generate more excitement for the NFL postseason, the folks at Twitch are hosting a special Madden NFL 15 marathon set to last for 26 hours. Average Joes can participate and compete against 'Team Duracell,' a team comprised of gaming pros and NFL players.

The NFL pros include Oakland Raiders RB Maurice Jones-Drew, who will go from the start of the tournament until 5PM PST, San Francisco 49ers LB Patrick Willis from 4PM - 8PM PST, and Houston Texans RB Arian Foster on Saturday from 9AM - 1PM PST. The full tournament will last from 1PM PST today until 3PM PST on Saturday.

Those looking to take a crack at this can still sign up on the Duracell Tournament website. There's a lot on the line for players that can muster up a long winning streak. The player that holds the longest winning streak could win tickets to Super Bowl XLIX. The tournament begins today and can be seen on Twitch or on the Duracell Tournament site.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
