Good news for those looking to relive the horror of Resident Evil. You can do so with the newly Remastered edition which releases on January 20 for $20 on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. The even better news is that players who purchase the new version on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam are now able to pre-load. It's worth remembering that the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game are cross-buy for anyone who preorders.

How are the controls? I never played more than a couple of hours because I hated the save system and controls. In fact, I've only finished RE4. Played a good deal of Code Veronica, too.

Battling with the controls is what makes this game survival horror.

But seriously, the game has tremendous atmosphere. Still the only time I've ever panicked in a video game.

Capcom added real-3D controls: press the stick in a direction and you'll go in that direction.

Or as I like to call them, the good Resident Evil games.

        Never finished Zero, despised 4.

I hope they didn't alter the David Mamet-quality script of the original.

Ill skip this. Looks horrible, plus I was never a fan of the truck driving controls of the original games.
