While Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is on the march towards Heavensward, Square Enix is still offering a robust amount of content with the new 2.4 patch called Dreams of Ice. The patch was deployed late last night and the list of new quests, features, and side content is fairly extensive.

The patch notes reveal roughly 19 main quests for level 50 characters, three new Chronicles of a New Era quests, and other side quests. Two new jobs also make their debut, with the Rogue and Ninja classes now available with their own unique quests. And of course, the Final Coil of Bahamut is now open for anyone willing to take up this brutal eight-person, 90-minute quest.

That's merely scratching the surface of what's available in this new patch. The patch notes are about a novel's length, so if you're looking for a slightly quicker overview of the patch's contents, check out the video below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
