Shacknews Extra Life ends at $31K

By the end of our Extra Life efforts, we had raised more than $31,000 for Children's Miracle Network hospitals. Thank you.

On Saturday, Shacknews joined thousands in the gaming community to raise money for Extra Life, benefitting Children's Miracle Network hospitals. For 24 hours, we played games, gave prizes, and collected donations. Then, the Chatty community jumped in, keeping the effort going strong until late last night. By the end, Shacknews had raised $31,210 to help sick kids and became one of the of the top contributors.

Our contributions were a small part of the Extra Life effort as a whole, which so far has raised more than $5 million. On behalf of Shacknews, thank you to everyone who pitched in money or time, or even simply spread the word about our stream to others. We couldn't have done it without you.

That's awesome, great job everyone. I'm sorry we couldn't be on team Shacknews as well as team Battle.net. But with some Shackers kicking in for us, we raised $1,425 by last night.
