Update: The PC version has, in fact, received this build. For more, check out the Steam announcement.

In the event that you decided to put down Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, it may be time to jump back in and see one of Monolith's new additions to the game. The PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game just received a 600MB patch and it's getting a new Photo Mode.

The PS4 patch was first spotted by Reddit, with Got Game confirming the Xbox One patch. The patch allows users to pause in-game action and take a snapshot, allowing for edits by changing up camera position, distance, and roll using the controller.

No word on whether this editing feature will hit the PC version, but Shacknews has reached out to Warner Bros. to make sure.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

It's kind of hilarious that this gets photo mode before DriveClub.

Hell the PSN+ version of DriveClub is still a no show. Biggest failure of the year easily to me. Bungled in pretty much every possible way by everyone involved.

It reminds me of the Diablo 3 launch. Except this is worse because these guys had an ENTIRE EXTRA YEAR to work on the game after their original planned release date. And, much like Diablo 3, DriveClub probably won't be worth buying for at least 6 months anyway.

It's a shitty game. It's not even worth being annoyed about it anymore, trust me.

I was more annoyed at first before Frozen Pixel pointed out to me that I was thinking of The Crew.

Driveclub doesn't even have a replay mode. Or any replay.

Or any play at all, if you want the Plus version.
