Those playing Super Smash Bros. for 3DS during late hours tonight may notice a little something cool to go along with the game's 1.0.2 patch. Aside from further optimizing the game's online mode (an area that our review indicated needed work), it'll also introduce a new online battle mode called Conquest.
Released in a few weeks ago in Japan, the Conquest Mode tasks players with playing as one of the featured characters in the 'With Anyone' online space. Points are added to each character with every use, based on their battle results. If your character wins, you'll receive in-game Gold and custom parts for use in the game.
The patch is available now in the 3DS eShop, with Conquest set to begin shortly.
Ozzie Mejia posted a new article, PSA: Conquest mode goes into Super Smash Bros. for 3DS tonight.
The 1.0.2 patch for Super Smash Bros. is available now and sets the stage for the online Conquest mode, set to begin late Friday night.
