Nintendo 3DS themes releasing in Japan this October

Do you like themes? Do you live in Japan? Then you should look out for the release of themes for the 3DS Home screen this October.

Nintendo's Wii U received quite the update today as it finally allowed its users to be able better manage their downloaded software through the use of folders. The company is also updating with a new feature on 3DS soon, and we got a first glimpse of it thanks to Nintendo of Japan.

As reported by Nintendo Everything, the next firmware update in Japan will include access to 50 different themes that will offer a breath of fresh digital air to your Nintendo 3DS’s Home screen. The themes will feature Nintendo characters as well as various color variants to match whatever style you’re going for with your handheld.

As far as pricing for the upcoming themes, they range from 100 to 200 yen (which is roughly $0.90 to $1.80). Nintendo still hasn't detailed exactly when we might get those updates here in the States, but it did mention an October update incoming with theme and menu options.
