The fall season is providing ample opportunity to highlight some new games here on the Chatty Twitch Highlights. Along with some of the mainstays, like the weekly Shackbattle, we get to take a look at one of the newer releases in the form of Gauntlet. Thanks to pixelat3d, we'll see if the new boss battles are anything to write home about. We also check in with the weekly Shackbattle contingent through hemtroll and take to the tennis court with No2Rancor.

Warning: Some clips may contain NSFW language.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Once a week, a large group of Chatty posters get together for a megaton Shackbattle. As has been the case for several weeks, the game of choice this week is Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which recently ranked atop Chatty's Top 100 PC Games of All-Time! Poster hemtroll is nice enough to catch everyone's drunken shenanigans, which starts off with blindly driving around massive tanks and destroying anything that moves... even if that means fellow teammates.

Gauntlet

Warner Bros. and Arrowhead revived the long-dormant Gauntlet franchise earlier this week. Along with bringing back the game's cooperative dungeon-crawling action, it also instituted some boss battles. So watch as pixelat3d takes on a massive mummy and see if Gauntlet's boss battles bring anything new to the table or if they're simply just a tacked-on mechanic.

Mario Tennis

And finally, we finish with a little bit of levity. No2Rancor is taking us home with some vintage Mario Tennis action. Take a look at this close match and recall what it was like to frantically keep up with charged shots, while attempting to knock the ball through randomly-placed rings. It was tennis with the unique Mario touch and it's a game that still holds up as a classic, showing that tennis games can be fun without Wii Remotes. Enjoy and we'll be back next week!

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
