Dota 2 has been somewhat off the radar since the end of The International, but Valve is ready to resume work on their unstoppable MOBA giant. And the next update will introduce some major changes, including some map shifts.

The 6.82 update will rework much of the terrain around the Roshan area. The changes will include reworked Dire lanes, as well as shifted paths along the Top Radiant Tier 1 Tower. The Fountain area will likewise see some changes, mostly in terms of elevation.

Other additions include the massive balancing of the game's Heroes, as well as the addition of the new Bounty Rune. For the full list of changes, be sure to visit the Dota 2 update page. Credit to Ecks for the tip.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
