Could Apple introduce a bigger, meaner, iPhone?

September 9th's Apple media event could usher in a new age for iPhones with the introduction of a larger screen.

Dozens of rumors about the iPhone 6 have been floating around over the past several months. Whether you’re a fan or not, the iPhone tends to be a trendsetter, so it's definitely something to keep an eye on as the cellular device industry evolves.

Over the last few years, screen real estate has become a major issue with cellular devices, with tablets and phablets growing more and more popular with each release. While this isn’t new information, Apple barely barely seems to have grasped that concept over the past two years, with 2012 seeing the iPhone growing a meager half inch in screen size on the iPhone 5.

Users quickly outgrew that extra space, and 4 inches doesn’t seem to be enough anymore. Rumors are circulating about a 4.7 inch screen, aand a version of the iPhone 6 featuring a massive 5.5 inch screen, having emerged in the past months. This would put the new Apple device on par with popular flagship Android devices, and possibly even out the cellular market for them.

The media event will take place tomorrow, September 9th, at 10:00 AM PDT, and you can view it via live video by following this link: http://www.apple.com/live/
