Bioshock kindly arriving on iOS tonight

The game will retail for $14.99, but will only run on newer iOS devices.

Earlier this month, we had some hands-on impressions for 2K Games' iOS port of Bioshock, which is a pretty close translation of the original Xbox 360 game, despite being transferred to a touch-screen. Players won't have to wait long for the game to arrive on the App Store, because it's happening tonight.

The game will be available starting at 9 PM PDT in Apple's devoted store, going for the price of $14.99. A word of warning: the game will only run on newer Apple devices, such as the iPad Air, the iPad Mini 2, the iPad 4, the iPhone 5S, the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5. Trying to run it on previously released devices simply won't work. So make sure you have one of these devices before you download the game.

i'm all for gaming on the iPhone... i don't even mind v-pads for a lot of games. but this one seems like it will be just awful... having to juggle around plasmids was a big enough pain with a controller.

it's a shame MFi controllers didn't really take off.

It's the stupid expensive license that's killing those controller, isn't it?

I think it's more the part where they're a usability nightmare with a mobile device and most people are perfectly happy with F2P time wasters

I think mobil gaming explodes if Apple releases an iPhone skew with a slide out controller. Just be prepared for 30 years worth of re releases.
