Assassin's Creed Monopoly Coming Later This Year

Go directly to jail. Or get stabbed.

With Assassin's Creed: Rogue and Assassin's Creed: Unity both coming to consoles later this year, you'd think there would be enough blood-spilling to go around. But no, said Ubisoft and USAopoly. We want to take this to Park Place, they said. And so they have.

USAopoloy has announced a new take on the classic board game Monopoly, this time based around the world of Assassin's Creed. The game features a variety of assassins to choose from as you collect credits and work your way through properties, eventually getting to the point where you can purchase Abstergo Industries and Entertainment.

Unfortunately, the board game is exclusive to Europe at the moment, though, given the franchise's popularity, a U.S. release isn't entirely out of the cards. After all, USAopoly is also releasing games based on The Legend of Zelda and Pokemon franchises, so this one's likely to follow suit.

Ok, I missed something. Is Hasbro dead or something?

Nah, USAopoly has been doing this a long time, 20 years in fact. According to their website "We’ve been producing the world’s most beloved games “with a twist,” under license from Hasbro, since 1994."
