Who doesn't like board games? Classic rounds of Monopoly (especially with that new Legend of Zelda version) and Trivial Pursuit never get old, and, for some time there, Hasbro and EA had quite a thing going with various Family Game Night video games that brought the board games to a whole new format. Now, it looks like Ubisoft, under a new partnership with Hasbro, is coming back again, this time with a devoted channel for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Starting this September, the Hasbro Game Channel will allow gamers to take part in a number of sessions featuring their favorite board games, modified to work in a video game format. The channel will launch with three games, with more to come in the months ahead, such as Boggle and Scrabble. The network will also come to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, only as a solo game download service instead of a general channel.

The three games that will be available at launch include Monopoly Plus, with support for up to six players both offline and online; Risk, a remake of the classic board game where you try to dominate the world, complete with online play; and Trivial Pursuit Live!, where you can challenge your trivia expertise with others.

There's no word on pricing just yet, but expect EA to offer some sort of affordable package for everyone to enjoy. After all, we're going broke enough as it is in Monopoly. See you in jail.
