Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes 'Adversaries' patch addresses buggy AI

Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes doesn't have the smartest AI in the world, but developer Stardock is addressing that and a whole lot of other issues with the new 'Adversaries' patch.

Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes, the standalone expansion for the turn-based strategy game Elemental, is getting a bit of an overhaul with its latest update. The 'Adversaries' 1.7 update is said to be the game's biggest one todate, refining just about every aspect of the adventure so far.

Among the items that developer Stardock is addressing is the game's AI, which promises to function smarter and exercise better strategy. It'll also stop waging war on players they aren't at war with anymore, which should be a bit more realistic. Each of the game's five champion types will also receive some new class-specific items that will affect them and their armies.

Other improvement include polish to monster behavior, economy balancing, and a slew of other fixes and balance tweaks. The full patch notes can be found here.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Hmm. Still trying to decide between this game and Age of Wonders III. I didn't know the AI on this one was in need of fixing.

I'd play warlock or FE over aow3, it was pretty meh. it'll probably get better with updates/enhancements through expansions or whatever but as it is it's not that great of that type of game. FE is great these days, and warlock is also pretty great, dunno if warlock 2 is out yet but it was looking even better.

I'd be happy to stop seeing fallen, heroes, horde, reborn, and risen in titles.

What about game, thrones, souls, champion, and countless others? I swear, browsing the app store on my phone, it's like swimming in a sea of terrible, unoriginal names.
