Telltale Games' video game adaptation of Bill Willingham's Fables, The Wolf Among Us, have already flown by and garnered some love from the staff here. This coming Tuesday, it'll come to a close with the season finale of the current storyline in an episode titled Cry Wolf.

Cry Wolf will be available free to those who have the Season Pass, or will run you $4.99 separately. It'll first release on Xbox Live, Steam and PlayStation Network, and then later in the week, July 10th, for iOS devices.

The fifth episode once again focuses on the troubled sheriff, and, as you can see in the image above, he goes through some changes that finally reveal his animalistic side. You can view more of the action in the trailer below, although there are spoilers.

why won't they release this on the new consoles? it's free money for the taking that they're missing out on. Same with walking dead S2

It's been a pretty darn good season so far. A little short some episodes but I assume the finale will be nuts.

Good, now I can finally buy it. I hate this episodes nonsense. By the time the next episode releases I completely forget what happened in the previous episode. And you can imagine why this would be a problem with a story-focused game. The same with The Walking Dead. I was glad I waited for the whole of season 1 to release before buying; doing the same for season 2. Plus I get to get it for cheaper :P

Same here. Not just for that, but there have been some cases where the devs shut down without completing the series. I mean I have every confidence Telltale will be around for a long while, but still, you don't want to be left hanging and without resolution

Eh, they come out like a month apart and do a recap at the start of each new one. It's fine.

I'm annoyed that I bought in when episode 1 came out.

Second episode was horribly delayed (even if it was for good reasons, it still sucks on the consumer side).

Later on it goes on Steam sale for like 10 bucks.

All in all, I'll never buy another one of the games like this at release. They are shooting themselves in the foot with this type of release schedule.

It probably keeps their sales steady to have a new chapter to promote all the time though. Adventure games get fairly low hype and sales in general so they have probably learned works best here.
