Sony Online Entertainment continues their efforts to make 2014 a banner year for PlanetSide 2. There's still another major milestone for the studio to hit this year and that's to bring the free-to-play MMOFPS to PlayStation 4. But the latest trailer shows that the console version of the popular shooter will make its long-awaited appearance at this year's E3.

The trailer shows all the comradery that's expected to survive in PlanetSide 2. More information about the PS4 version is undoubtedly forthcoming at next week's event, but for now, check out the action below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Unless something has changed, they said quite a while ago that they would not do cross play.

The only news that they need to give about this game that people actually give a shit about now is when is it coming to PS4.WE NEED A RELEASE DATE ASAP!

I don't think there is cross-play but I remember reading you can transfer your character from the PC to the PS4 version and vice versa.
