Terraria coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One

Terraria will soon tunnel its way to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

When it comes to Terraria, the logic of "just keep digging, just keep digging" certainly applies. At least, that's what the team at 505 Games wants you to do, as the company has just announced that it's bringing the retro-style strategy/sim game to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.

The game was formally announced for the platforms over at the Terraria Online forums. It will include all of the content that was featured in the game's 1.2 update on other platforms, alongside some "brand new functionality" that will be shown behind-closed-doors at E3 next week.

The PlayStation 4 version of the game will also be cross-play and cross-save compatible with the PS Vita edition, so players don't have to worry about losing precious game saves when taking their game on the road. There's no word yet if it will be cross-buy compatible, however.

Terraria will release later this year…which is interesting, because Terraria 2 is rumored to release around that time frame. Hmmmm…
