Rise of Nations: Extended Edition coming to Steam in June

Microsoft Studios is set to remaster the classic real-time strategy game Rise of Nations on PC this June. The studio announced that Rise of Nations: Extended Edition will pack in the original game, as well as its Thrones & Patriots expansion for $19.99 on Steam.

Microsoft Studios is set to remaster the classic real-time strategy game Rise of Nations on PC this June. The studio announced that Rise of Nations: Extended Edition will pack in the original game, as well as its Thrones & Patriots expansion for $19.99 on Steam.

Rise of Nations: Extended Edition will feature the original RTS gameplay from Big Huge Games intact, with all 18 nations and 100+ military units just as you remember them. Since PCs have seen some significant upgrades since the game's original 2003 release, it will also contain improved visuals, along with more modern features like full Steamworks (for ranked multiplayer) and Twitch integration. These upgraded features do, however, mean that the game will only support systems running Windows 7 or above.
