Players earn Battlepacks in Battlefield 4 often over the course of multiplayer. But if you want another one without having to go through the hassle of actually playing the game, they're now available as microtransactions.

Battlepacks have proven to be a quick way to earn a handful of Battlefield 4 accessories. These content packages often include new cosmetic items, weapons, and XP boosts. Players will earn these often over the course of multiplayer, but there's always the urge for more. Those aching to pick up more Battlepacks without the hassle of actually playing the game can now do so by paying for them out of their own pocket.

"Battlepacks can still be earned through normal gameplay progressions, but we are now giving players the option to purchase Battlepacks as a shortcut to catch up with their friends on the Battlefield," reads the Battlefield blog. (via CVG)

Bronze Battlepacks will run for $1, while Silver ones run for $2 and Gold ones go for $3. Battlepacks are available for purchase through the Origin and Battlelog websites, as well as the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

I have no problem with this. The game has been out a while. People jumping in late may want to take the easy route. I see this as a non issue. If they had done this at game release them I would care.

No big deal. So easy to get now they are pointless to buy. Only XP boosts 100+ or knives are the good things. Chances of you getting that 20x+ superior scope for the leet snipa gun are pretty small. Let people waste their money.
