Monochroma is coming to Steam on May 28, Nowhere Studios has announced.

The indie puzzle-platformer Monochroma missed its original December 2013 release, but developer Nowhere Studios has now set an exact date. The largely black-and-white adventure will be available on Steam on May 28.

Monochroma centers on two brothers as they work to expose the truth behind a violent crime. One breaks his leg, so the other has to carry him and temporarily set him down while solving puzzles. But the boy is afraid of the dark, so finding an area where he feels safe is important. Nowhere released a cinematic trailer earlier this month that gives a better look at the story.

I've seen this trailer before, but it's still great. Love that the story, whatever it is, is kinda hinted at, but there's no narration or dialogue or anything that explicitly tells it. Love the art style and music. Will probably get this!

The black/white/red motif isn't that new at this point*, but nonetheless it looks very nicely atmospheric and the music really helps set the stage as well. I'll be looking forward to this.

*The Saboteur, MadWorld, Betrayer come to mind.
