The studio behind World of Tanks has kicked off its first season of the Wargaming.net League. World of Tanks players from around the world will be competing for a share of a $2.5 million prize pool, and Wargaming boasts that it will be investing $10 million total into eSports promotion this year.

The dates will be kicking off throughout this month in various regions, with North America set to launch next week on May 12. The finals will be held in Warsaw, Poland in April. You can watch the tournament as it happens and get more info at the official site of the league--if you speak Russian, at least.

Really surprised Wargaming has pulled off the most profitable (per user) arena MMO using only cash for silver methods and not resorting to pay to win anything.

Practically anything they've sold for gold is hamstrung in some way so that it is balanced or worse.

mofos better nerf artillery again on the 360.
shit is just getting out of hand once again.

in fact, they should sell an addon to this game if you want to play artillery. It's a pvc pipe and actuator with a big fist on the end of it. You put it down in between your legs and slightly in front of you. You plug it into the 360, and every time you choose an artillery that pvc pipe swings and punches you straight in the fucking dick really really hard.

Artillery is really quite weak on live PC patch. So much so that it brought forth all the tank destroyers and now they are the big issue on live patch.

Well, it's inaccurate, when it does hit, it's a coin flip to whether it will do significant damage, the load times are longer, the splash damage is wider, but does less damage overall.

There are a few standouts in artillery left, but usually they are fast fire or incredibly high arcing guns with long delivery times.

well on the 360 they are practically a goddamn laser beam. You'd think there are some goddamn navy seals on the battlefield with laser designated targets on your tank with how fucking accurate they are.
