Which version of Watch Dogs will look the best? Assuming you have the right hardware, it should be PC. A new video from Ubisoft shows off the PC version in action, and it highlights some of the exclusive features coming to Nvidia cards.

For example, the PC version will use Nvidia's HBAO Plus (Horizon Based Ambient Occlusion), which will make for more realistic shadows. Nvidia's TXAA anti-aliasing will also be utilized.

"By working with Nvidia we really want to make sure PC gamers will be able to enjoy and explore the most realistic and visually stunning world environment ever created," lead engineer Paul Vlasie said (via Eurogamer).

Looks pretty good. About on par with Battlefield, which also use HBAO really well. I like this TXAA idea, but I've never played a game that uses it.

TXAA is a waste of GPU, it blurs the image a lot, and i mean A LOT, to remove the jaggies.

Just look at the tech videos for AC4 and the secret world, texture quality suffers a lot, and to top it, it uses A LOT of GPU.

If it didn't blur the image by that much then it would be a wonderfull tech, but it isn't.

Nonsense. Proper implementations look fantastic. See Batman: Arkham Origins for a great example where you can almost completely eliminate jaggies and jittering while still maintaining good texture quality.

It can change the overall appearance of the image, but this is not a bad thing. In motion while playing it looks fantastic.

Are you sure you're not thinking about FXAA? That's the one that blurs everything.

Damn, that makes choosing between PS4 version (extra missions) and PC that much harder. :/

I wonder what video card or cards they were using for this... I wish they told us

Very nice. I did notice the lighting flash wasn't reflected in the glass wall at 1:10 though.

True reflections are still something that current games struggle with the only one that I can think of which did it really well is Crysis 3 which has really good real time reflections but most games still don't.

I was just looking to see the lighting reflected because it was reflected on the ground.

The lightning is the only part that looks off to me the rest looks pretty damn good.

Is it just me or does this still not look as good as the premiere video from e3 or whatever?

It looks closer, but yeah, still not quite as good. I noticed the NPC's are a lot flatter, and their animations were stiffer.
