With The Simpsons faring pretty well with its iOS hit, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, Fox is hoping to duplicate that same success with another of its Sunday night staples: Family Guy. Fox and developer TinyCo have announced that Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff will hit iOS on April 10.

The Quest For Stufff will feature the animated sitcom's recognizable art style, along with all of the show's voice actors and stories from creator Seth MacFarlane's Fuzzy Door Productions. The central premise sees players helping rebuild the town of Quahog after it was demolished in a recent fight between main character Peter Griffin and his nemesis, the Giant Chicken. And to think, it all started with an expired coupon.

Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff will be free-to-play, with in-app purchases. Hopefully, it'll be better than that time Activision released a Family Guy game to abysmal reviews. (Insert cutaway gag here.)

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

I hope that they didn't copy the pay wall that's in The Simpsons: Tapped Out so people can actually earn and unlock everything just by playing.

You know they won't. I love Tapped Out, but I've been playing it for a solid 5 months and only have 60 donuts.

Tapped Out had nice voice acting, but the game was boring. No challenge, except waiting.
