World of Tanks Blitz, the free-to-play mobile spin-off of Wargaming's World of Tanks, is getting a beta test soon. Wargaming has announced that closed beta is now open for registrations.

You can visit the official site to register. The beta is said to include 7v7 matches, and participants can toy with more than 100 machines ranging from light tanks to destroyers, representing the USA, Germany, and USSR. The announcement notes that the closed beta will launch first on "most iPad tablets," with Android and iPhone support in the coming months.

“World of Tanks Blitz Closed Beta will get us one step closer to building an online gaming universe, persistently available on a variety of platforms,” said director of global operations Andrei Ryabovol, in the announcement. “We think that's a great goal, and we'll be working on ways to make the tank combat experience on tablets and smartphones even more engaging, based on the feedback we receive.”
