Twitch is about to become a more crowded place with next week's Xbox One integration. It could also mean more joining the ranks of the Shacknews Chatty community, who has already been enjoying streaming some of their favorite games on Twitch. This week, we check out some Thief gameplay from pixelat3d, while inc77 tries to score some sweet Diablo III and Alice concludes her Dark Souls Nites series.

Here's a compilation of some of the best Shacknews Twitch highlights for the week of March 8, 2014.

Thief

One of the most gutwrenching stories of the week involved layoffs at Thief developer Eidos Montreal. The bad news comes after Thief hasn't exactly resonated with critics and fans alike. Despite some of the criticisms bandied about, pixelat3d gave the new Thief a shot and actually looks to be doing pretty well. Check out some of his playthrough below.

Diablo III

As we learned last week, Diablo 3's revamped loot system has paid dividends for most of the game's most loyal players. As it turns out, inc77 is not one of them. Watch as he runs through the treacherous Realm of Turmoil and take on the dangerous duo of The Savage Behemoth and The Undying One, only to receive some... rewards.

Dark Souls

Dark Souls 2 comes out next week. You didn't really think I wouldn't give the last game a proper tribute as we approach the momentous release date, did you? And let's face it, there's only one way to really celebrate Dark Souls properly and that's by watching Alice play through it. Watch her approach the end of her Dark Souls Nites series, as she takes on Gwyn, Lord of Cinder and wraps up the game, once and for all.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
