Sniper Elite 3 gets release date, Hitler pre-order DLC

Pre-order DLC is usually along the lines of extra costumes or weapon unlocks, but Rebellion sets its sights on a loftier goal: killing Hitler. It first offered a DLC mission to assassinate the Führer with Sniper Elite V2, and now is doing the same with Sniper Elite 3. This comes alongside news that the snipe 'em up will hit PC on June 27, then PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on July 1.

While V2's 'Kill Hitler' mission was set during the fall of Nazi Germany, 3's 'Hunt The Grey Wolf' goes down in 1942. It sees Hitler visiting Libya accompanied by a double, so snipers will need to figure out which is real before doing terrible things to his viscera. The level's said to be "expansive" and "open," with a degree of randomness so it'll be different each time. One imagines it'll be sold separately as plain old DLC some time after launch.

Our Ozzie recently played Sniper Elite 3 and was pretty pleased with it. The console editions are published by 505 Games, while Rebellion is self-publishing it on PC.

I'm not sure how comfortable I am with Hitler being this awesome bonus you're supposed to pay extra to have in your game. I mean how many other products would have as their selling point "Now, with 100% more Hitler!"

I think I'd be pretty comfortable playing a mission where your objective is to kill Hitler.

What about paying 60 bucks to play a videogame where the objective is to slaughter countless hordes of Nazis/Russians/North Koreans?

Think of it as hitler death as the bonus

How many times can one man be killed? lol Do you think part of the fascination behind killing Hitler is the fact that we never actually got the chance to kill him, he killed himself.

Kill Hitler DLC in SE2 was awful. The smallest map that was incredibly boring and lasted about 5 minutes. Enough with the dogshit DLCS!
