Things are looking good for Edge of Reality's raucous, free-to-play third-person shooter Loadout. Following its release a couple of weeks ago, the game has already managed to attract two million users, logging in a total of 9 million hours of gameplay. That's a whole lot of frags.

Unsurprisingly, Edge of Reality is quite happy with the results. "The near-overnight success of Loadout has been simultaneously humbling and exhilarating," said CEO Rob Cohen. "Our community means everything to us, and we can't thank them enough for helping to make Loadout what it is today."

The team has also been working on releasing additional packs for the game. This week, it released a Mardi Gras themed pack, just in time for the yearly event in New Orleans. Want to check out Loadout? Hit up the official game site.
