Weekend PC download deals: President Valentine's Weekend Edition

Valetine's Day kinda stinks, doesn't it? If you're single, you have to put up with couples showing off their happiness and loving bliss. Meanwhile, if you do have a Valentine, you wind up missing things like the Titanfall beta. But the light at the end of the tunnel is that this is a three-day weekend and that means you can get your fill of PC games in before going back to the grind on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, if you do have a Valentine, you wind up missing things like the Titanfall beta. Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Grab NOX from Gog.com, its old but a masterpiece.
And for 1 and a half dollars you really don't loose anything if you don't like it :).

Have to agree...Nox has always been billed as a D2 knockoff...but it's humor and general playstyle is different. It's much more linear than D2 but also a helluva lot funnier.

Only issue is there are no skill trees, so replayability is nil once you play through the 3 campaigns.

Is the Brave New World add on for Civ V worth $15?

Pretty much out of the Sid Meier pack the only thing I would be getting is the add on's to Civ V (I guess the add on's to civ 4 too, but I haven't played that in years).

No real interest in Civ 3 or Ace Patrol and I already have both the original Pirates (superior in my mind) and the remake.

I'd just wait until it goes on sale by itself somewhere else.
