Pokemon Battle Trozei hits 3DS on March 20

Pokemon ventures into the Match-3 puzzle genre with Pokemon Battle Trozei on 3DS, which will feature all 700+ Pokemon for use, as well as 4-play co-op.

Pokemon ventures into the Match-3 puzzle genre with Pokemon Battle Trozei on 3DS, the follow-up to 2006's Pokemon Trozei on the DS. The game will feature all 700+ Pokemon for use, as well as 4-play co-op. A number of Pokemon mechanics are featured, including different attacks that utilize the series' signature rock-paper-scissors style of combat.

The trailer below shows off some of the traditional Match-3 mechanics on the bottom screen, as well as the game's battle system along the top screen. It also introduces many of the Pokemon that will be encountered, including legendary creatures like Groudon. And yes, you'll be able to capture them.

Pokemon Battle Trozei is scheduled to release on March 20.
