Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix trailer shows off revamped visuals

A new trailer from Japan's Jump Festa shows off how the HD remix is faring. Unsurprisingly, it looks much like the 1.5 collection, with puffy pants and giant zippers never looking better.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix is Square Enix's somewhat-predictable follow-up to the well-made 1.5 Remix. The upcoming PS3 compilation includes Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, Birth By Sleep, and the cutscenes from Re:coded--all in HD, of course.

Every version of Kingdom Hearts has sold significantly less than the first game, yet it seems like Square Enix expends money on this franchise like it's a gold mine. What's also bizarre is that Japan sees a lot of the content focus with North American ports being an afterthought. This would make sense if most North American versions of the franchise didn't sell two to three times better than anywhere else.

I guess it's possible that after the first game these things haven't cost all that much to make.
