Kaio: King of Pirates delayed to 2014

The 3DS game Kaio: King of Pirates has been delayed again, this time into 2014.

Though it went without saying as we approach the end of the year, Keiji Inafune's 3DS game Kaio: King of Pirates has now officially been moved out of a 2013 release target. We still haven't seen much of it since its initial announcement in 2011, and this will be the second delay for the project.

The official website (via Polygon) reflects the new release window of 2014. It had originally been scheduled for 2012, but was shuffled into 2013.

Inafune announced Kaio under his Intercept banner, one of two companies that he created after leaving Capcom. The other company, Comcept, is currently at work on Mighty No 9. Inafune seems to be juggling multiple projects, between those, Soul Sacrifice, and co-producing Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z. Given the lack of information, Kaio may have been put on the back-burner.
