Full Control's Space Hulk released on PC and Mac to some decidedly lukewarm reviews, but the game continues to roll on strong with a new iPad version of the classic Warhammer 40,000 board game set to deploy on December 5. Better yet, this iOS version will be able to play with PC and Mac owners, as well.

Like its PC and Mac counterparts, Space Hulk on iOS will release with a 12-mission single-player campaign, based on the 'Sin and Damnation' campaign from the board game's third edition.

"We are excited to unleash Space Hulk, to a new generation of tablet players," said Full Control CEO Thomas Hentschel Lund in the released announcement. "With single player turn based action, intense cross platform multiplayer battles, Space Hulk is destined to become a cult classic."

Space Hulk has already seen a number of refinements on PC and Mac, including a large patch that was deployed in early October. Space Hulk on iOS will release with a $9.99 price tag.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Did they ever fix the PC version?

It has been vastly improved yes. Though if you didn't like the gameplay, this hasn't changed much, since its quite true to the boardgame.

Why would they need to? Works fine as a digital board game version of the original, from what I've seen so far.

There were many technical issues with it, IIRC. Haven't followed the news too closely, though.
