Zelda 3DS XL spotted in Black Friday ad

An apparently leaked Black Friday circular shows the Zelda-themed 3DS XL that was announced in Europe earlier this week coming to North America for $220.

Not surprisingly, it appears the special Zelda-themed 3DS XL that Nintendo announced for Europe the other day is coming to North America as well. An apparently leaked Black Friday advertisement shows the system for sale at $219.99.

GottaDeal (via Kotaku) has images of a leaked GameStop circular, which shows the Zelda bundle for sale. The gold-and-black system includes a download code for A Link Between Worlds, making the bundle cheaper than it would cost to buy a system and the game separately.

The ad also shows a standard 3DS with Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, but curiously doesn't list the Luigi patterned 3DS XL we saw announced for Europe.

This isn't an official announcement, obviously, but it is following an extremely familiar pattern. In 2011, Nintendo announced a branded 3DS bundle with Ocarina of Time 3D in Europe, but kept tight-lipped about it coming stateside. A subsequent GameStop circular advertised the system for Black Friday. History appears to be repeating itself, though this time we didn't have to wait until mid-November for the leak.
