Just Dance 2014 releases October 8 with free Katy Perry DLC

Just Dance 2014 will shuffle into stores on October 8, with Katy Perry's "Roar" available on launch day as free DLC.

Just Dance 2014 will feature well over 45 chart-topping songs, some of which aren't even Nicki Minaj. Ubisoft does want to toss in one more track that didn't quite make the cut, so you'll be able to download Katy Perry's latest single "Roar" on the game's October 8 launch day for free.

"Roar" can be added to a tracklist that already includes "Applause" by Lady Gaga, "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke (hopefully without any Miley Cyrus or Beetlejuice outfits), "Kiss You" by One Direction, and "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk. Just Dance 2014 is set to release on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, and Wii, with Xbox One and PS4 versions coming shortly thereafter.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
