Minecraft is no longer console exclusive to Xbox. Sony has announced that Mojang's block-building game will be available at PS4's launch.

In fact, the upcoming PlayStation Network version of Minecraft will be available on PS3 and Vita as well, confirmed by a rather succinct tweet by Mojang's Markus Persson. The Vita version is of particular note, as it should provide a more robust experience than the current Android version--while still offering those crucial analog sticks and buttons.

The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft has been selling incredibly well at retail. An Xbox One version is also forthcoming.

I actually do too. I play it with my son in co-op. We put it on peaceful mode and just explore and build stuff together. It's still amazingly fun. He tapped into some kind of gameplay magic with that game, I don't think even he understands how he did it.

I feel like this is a bit late to the party. Should have been on PS3/Vita and PS4 launch. Granted I don't play MC and could be completely out of my wits on this topic.

I think the game is still relevant because younger kids now are discovering it like crazy. It's the type of game which parent's don't mind them playing because it's creative. I've heard kids talking about it and apparently it's a topic in grade school... groups of kids obsessed with Minecraft and talking about it all day and building stuff together.

Yeah, I was surprised that my 9 year old niece knew Minecraft and all her friends were playing it!

It better be multi-platform. When Minecraft was announced for the 360 that was the feature I was most excited for, but then they dropped it. Pisses me off to this day.
