Gearbox Software wanted to bring Borderlands 2 to Vita. And now, they will. A Vita port of Borderlands 2 was just announced. Coming in 2014, the upcoming Vita version will be developed by Iron Galaxy Studios--developer of Divekick--and will be published by Sony.

In a blog post, Gearbox product manager Adam Fletcher wrote about how the company was "inundated" with messages from fans "pleading" for a PS Vita version.

No word yet if the Vita version will be compatible in any way with the PS3 version. Adam Fletcher told the PlayStation.Blog that they will have "more information later regarding" cross-play, cross-save, and DLC transfers.

there's no way i can do the grind again as much fun as the game is it's really a single character romp for me. Tiny Tina's is quite possibly the fun/funniest DLC i've ever played.

I havent played any of the DLC but maybe that's a good platform to dive into it on because I'm pretty much done playing that game on my console.

It would be sweet if they can do the cross-play (?) thing with this. I've already completed the game on PS3, so doing the DLC on Vita could be dope, if I had one.

really? that is the whole point - play it in each successive difficulty. The single player game is great, but then it becomes a co-op raid ...like D3. Game totally shifted for me after killing the Warrior the first time.

i mean with another character. I've done all difficulties with my lvl 61 commando and finishing up DLCs on TVHM. But the 'raid' bosses are so painfully grindy that I could never possibly do this shit again on another char.
