Rovio's Angry Birds Trilogy brought the fowl-flinging to the consoles, and now the company is planning on doing it again. Angry Birds Star Wars will hit the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Wii U, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo 3DS on October 29.

The console releases will add platform-specific features, and 20 new levels to the original 200 included in the mobile game. It also adds multiplayer for the first time in the series, letting you play two-player co-op for a combined high score, or four-player competitive modes. Activision will again be publishing the retail releases.

This means it will be coming to consoles and handhelds after Angry Birds Star Wars 2 hits on September 19. While the first Angry Birds console game was a compilation of three, this is just one game. Then again, it did have a big impact on Rovio's bottom line, so the Star Wars name may just be enough.
