Final Fantasy Versus XIII started as a PS3-exclusive. Then, it magically resurfaced as a PS4 game during yesterday's PlayStation conference. Today, Square Enix held a separate event to confirm that the newly-rebranded Final Fantasy XV is also coming to Xbox One.

"We would like to announce today that we are porting Final Fantasy XV to Xbox One as well," they announced. The game is being developed on DirectX 11 technology, which will make porting between the two platforms easy. And while no PC version has been announced, given its use of DX11, we wouldn't be surprised if one is forthcoming.

Considering that all of the consoles are x86, this should be the easiest time for game publishers to port games to other systems. Funny thing is, porting to the ps3 will be the most costly because it uses the cell architecture.

Well that rules out the rumors that Sony had to come in and help get this thing on track.
