Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 picks up from the epilogue of the first game. So, if you don't want spoilers for LoS, you may not want to watch this lengthy, revealing trailer.

The trailer shows off the new free moving camera, as well as the open game world being created by developer MercurySteam. The game, which is coming to PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, should be out this winter.

man, I've been playing Rondo of Blood on the virtual console, and it is one of the best games I've ever played. I'm really dissapointed that Castlevania has become a generic brawler, hopefully it returns to it's roots after this game.

I liked LoS honestly, but that aside I'm terrible at sidescrollers. I love them but I just suck at them. I've been meaning to give Castlevania and Castlevania III a shot again in the near future. I loved Super Castlevania IV and I recently attempted to play Rondo of Blood but the honest truth is that the game kicks my ass hard.

Rondo of Blood = best Castlevania imo.

I thought the reboot was great though. ..and it wasn't even really a Castlevania game from the start was it?

I personally thought the aesthetic in LoS was fantastic.
I'm expecting 2 to be even more Castlevania'y than the first one.

Best Castlevania = Rhondo of Blood remake on PSP
Only because the remake is cool as hell
and it comes with the Original Rhondo + SoTN full games as unlockables.

It was a decent story and ok controls. Not a bad game but compared to something like God of War it wasn't great.

It threw a lot of things at the wall to see what would stick and also suffered from some of the unevenness you see when games are aiming for Triple-A when they don't quite have the budget of Triple-A.

All in all, though, it was fun and this one looks to be more interesting, what with the open world aspect, the weird art direction and the general oddball aspect of the whole thing.

The story was great. Especially the setup for this second game. Really looking forward to how it all turns out.

It has some weak bits, but is worth playing with some great moments.
